Game day update: Back in action after two weeks away, the Steelers will need a solid outing from James Conner against the Bills. ESPN is projecting 12.4 points from Conner. How much they use Benny Snell could affect his fantasy production, but it’s not likely to be enough to merit fantasy attention. ESPN has him projected for less than 4 points.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are getting some welcome relief back in the lineup this week. Running back James Conner will return to action after missing the last two weeks on the COVID/reserve list. He has a decent matchup against in the Bills in his first game back, one that makes him a good option in fantasy football this week.
Fantasy Football analysis: Steelers RBs James Conner, Benny Snell
In Conner’s last outing, in Week 11 against the Jaguars, he had 89 yards on 13 carries. The Steelers didn’t get anything close to that from Benny Snell and Anthony McFarland while he was out. Snell ran for just five yards on eight carries last week. McFarland had 15 yards on four attempts.
The Bills are allowing more than 4.5 yards per carry to opposing running backs this season, and they’ve given up 10 rushing touchdowns.
Conner is a solid RB2 this week, but you can leave Snell on the bench.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start James Conner. Sit Benny Snell.
