In a heavyweight bout on the main card for UFC 256, Junior Dos Santos will take on Ciryl Gane Saturday live from Las Vegas and available on ESPN+.

The 36-year-old Dos Santos enters the octagon as the underdog, despite his professional fighting record of 21-8. Dos Santos last fought at UFC 252 this summer, where he lost to Jairzinho Rozenstruik in Round 2 via technical knockout. The veteran fighter will try to snap his three-match losing streak by landing a ton of blows. He averages 4.59 strikes per minute with 48 percent accuracy. At the same time Dos Santos absorbs 3.19 significant strikes per minute, while he defends against them at 57 percent.

As for Gane he enters the Apex with an undefeated professional fighting record of 6-0. The 30-year-old last fought in December 2019 at UFC Fight Night 174, where he defeated Tanner Boser by unanimous decision.

“Bon Gamin” Gane is an aggressive striker who can wrestle inside the cage. Gane has 1.32 takedowns per 15 minutes, with an accuracy of 60 percent. He also does a great job landing significant strikes at 5.12 per minute, with 49 percent accuracy.

DraftKings DFS Values

Junior Dos Santos: $7,000
Ciryl Gane: $9,200

Just like the main event fight between Figueiredo-Moreno, this match features another high-priced fighter in Ciryl Gane, who can do it all inside the octagon. Gane has averaged 94.3 fantasy points per fight in short UFC career, but did not score well against Boser last December.

In that fight he only scored 62.5 fantasy points at a $9600 value, landing nothing but 65 significant strikes. That being said, could Dos Santos provide some value at his price tag? Not at all. Despite averaging 74.1 fantasy points per fight, Cigano has scored 12, 3.5, and 2 points in his last three contests. I’d stay away from this fight.
