Two weeks ago against the Missouri Tigers, Fuller made history as the first woman to play in a Power Five college football game, kicking off to begin the second half. But the ‘Dores were unable to get within field goal range or score a touchdown to put her back on the field. Fuller joins April Goss of Kent State and Katie Hnida of New Mexico as the only women to score in a Division I-A or FBS game, but she becomes the first to do so in a major conference.
It’s been a nightmare season for Vandy, who fired head coach Derek Mason two weeks ago after a 41-0 loss to Mizzou. Interim Todd Fitch is in charge for today’s game, which is for bragging rights in the Volunteer State as well as the last chance VU will have in 2020 to earn a victory.
Fuller has already won an SEC Championship in 2020 as the starting goalkeeper for Vanderbilt women’s soccer.
