The Packers had an all-around dominant offensive effort in their Week 13 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Aaron Rodgers was efficient with a 295 yard, three-touchdown performance, and Aaron Jones punished the Eagles on the ground. There is some value down the depth chart, but Rodgers, Jones, and Davante Adams remain a significant step ahead of the rest of the Packers when it comes to fantasy football heading into Week 14 vs. the Lions.
Fantasy Football analysis: Packers WRs Davante Adams, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Allen Lazard
Adams caught ten passes on 12 targets for 121 yards and two touchdowns. It marked his seventh straight game with at least one touchdown, and his fourth game with at least two scores. Lazard caught three passes for 50 yards while Valdes-Scantling failed to catch either of his two targets.
Adams remains a clear WR1 for this week’s Lions matchup. Detroit has given up the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers and is coming off a week in which Mitchell Tubisky managed 267 passing yards and no turnovers. Adams is a must-start regardless of opponent, but the Lions defense is shaky enough that it should further elevate his game. He only caught three passes for 36 yards against the Lions in Week 3, but a hamstring injury slowed him and subsequently cost him the next two games.
Lazard retains the edge over MVS now that he’s back in action. He’s a solid WR3, while the later is a high ceiling WR4, but it’s risky since he may not have a lot of work. The Packers crushed the Lions in Week 3, but is was due primarily to Aaron Jones. The running back led the team with 168 rushing yards and also led pass catchers with 68 receiving yards while scoring three touchdowns.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Davante Adams as WR 1, flex Allen Lazard, sit Marquez Valdez-Scantling.
