The Denver Broncos are hoping that they can get rookie wide receiver Jerry Jeudy on track when they play the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon.
Fantasy Football analysis: Broncos WRs Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick, KJ Hamler
Earlier this season, the Broncos suffered a major loss to their offense when Courtland Sutton went down with a season-ending injury. Without Sutton lined up on the outside, it meant that someone else had to step up. Was that going to be first round-pick Jerry Jeudy or second-round selection K.J. Hamler?
Surprisingly, it was neither as Tim Patrick has emerged as the team’s No. 1 wide receiver. The 27-year-old wideout has produced 40 receptions (62 targets) for 607 yards and five touchdowns. Last week against the Chiefs, Patrick had Broncos only two touchdowns, which were a part of his four receptions for 44 yards.
In regards to fantasy football, he posted his second-best fantasy football performance with 16.4 points. Meanwhile, Jeudy only had one reception for five yards, and Hamler recorded two receptions for 16 yards.
It’s been a mixed bag of results for the latter two receivers, but they should be able to have better outings on Sunday against the Panthers. This season, Carolina’s defense is giving up 11 touchdowns and 20.9 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start — Tim Patrick as a WR3/FLEX
Sit — Jerry Jeudy, K.J. Hamler
