After missing most of the season recovering from an injury, Michael Thomas has set about making up for lost time recently. Last week against the Falcons, he caught nine passes on 11 targets for 105 yards. That was the second time in three games he’s topped the 100-yard mark. Meanwhile, Emmanuel Sanders has been a steady presence, but has seen his overall production drop since Thomas’ return. This week, they’ll take on the Philadelphia Eagles; here’s what that means for their fantasy football outlook.
Fantasy Football analysis: Saints WRs Michael Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders
Thomas has been balling out with Taysom Hill taking over quarterback duties for the injured Drew Brees. That’s who was under center for both of his 100-yard outings this season. He has a real good shot for a third game with those kind of numbers this week against the Eagles.
Sanders caught five passes on six targets last week, but had just 39 yards to show for it. His best game out his last five was a 66-yard outing in Week 11. His role in the offense just isn’t big enough right now to justify a spot in fantasy lineups.
The Eagles have allowed three touchdowns to opposing receivers in their last two games, and No. 1 wideouts in those tilts each had more than 100 yards.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Michel Thomas at WR1. Sit Emmanuel Sanders.
