2 kickers to start and 2 kickers to fade in Week 14 fantasy football

We go over who you should start and who you should sit at kicker for Week 14.

Some kickers are coming into Week 14 with ideal matchups while others seem likely to underperform. We’ve identified two kickers who are ideal starters in fantasy football and two who could bust ahead of the action. Let’s go over some of the top starting options and fades.

Kicker Starts

Younghoe Koo, Atlanta Falcons vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Starting the top fantasy kicker in the league against the Chargers is a no-brainer. He’s scored at least 10 points in four of his last five games and has made a field goal from beyond 50 yards in four straight contests. He’s about as consistent as it gets at kicker.

Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Dolphins

Butker made a season-high five field goals in Week 13, as the Denver Broncos forced Kansas City to settle on multiple occasions in a close game. The Dolphins are giving up a measly 19.3 points per game and have one of the best pass defenses in the NFL, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Chiefs were stopped short of touchdowns in Dolphins territory a few times in Week 14. Butker capitalizes on the chances he does get and could have another ceiling game on Sunday courtesy of Miami’s secondary.

Kicker Sits

Jason Meyers, Seattle Seahawks vs. New York Jets

This might seem like a good matchup on paper but Meyers has only attempted 16 field goals through 12 games and has consistently underperformed. While he’s shown some life in recent weeks with a few double-digit scoring games, I expect Seattle to reach the end zone easily against the Jets’ porous defense. You want to get more than a few extra points from your fantasy kicker and there are plenty of better options than Meyers, who ranks 17th in total fantasy points among kickers.

Robbie Gould, San Francisco 49ers vs. Washington Football Team

Gould has been underwhelming this season and could have his opportunities limited by a Washington unity that’s taken the league by storm by generating a ton of pressure. The Football Team has still given up the third-fewest passing yards per and ranks third in sacks with 36. Nick Mullens won’t have a ton of time to throw the ball so Gould could be held to a field goal or less for the sixth time this year.
