Washington tight end Logan Thomas was instrumental in last week’s upset win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Targeted nine times, he caught all of them, rolling up 98 yards and a touchdown in the process. Can he come close to repeating that this week when the Football Team takes on the 49ers?
Fantasy Football analysis: Washington TE Logan Thomas
Yeah, he’s probably not going to break 90 yards again this week. But he now has two games in a row with a touchdown, and he’s become one of Alex Smith’s preferred options in the passing game. He’s averaging almost six targets per game, with that number going up a bit since Smith took over the starting job.
The 49ers let an opposing tight end find the end zone last week against the Bills, which is only the third time a tight end has scored against San Francisco. They’ve been pretty tough on the position this season, but Thomas’ consistent role in Washington’s offense makes him worth a start this week, at least as a TE2.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Logan Thomas.
