How to handle Daniel Jones injury in Week 14 fantasy football

Daniel Jones is on the Giants’ final injury report for Week 14. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions.

Game status: Daniel Jones is ACTIVE for Week 14.

Game day update: Daniel Jones is starting, but Giants beat writer Jordan Raanan tweeted “[d]on’t be surprised to see some of Colt McCoy, even though Daniel Jones is playing.”

The New York Giants should have quarterback Daniel Jones back under center this week when they host the Arizona Cardinals. He missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury, the same issue he’s still dealing with, and the team has listed him as questionable on the injury report this week. The good news for the Giants is that after two limited practice sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, he was a full go at Friday’s session.

Fantasy impact: Daniel Jones (hamstring)

Jones hasn’t put up much in the way of fantasy production lately. He failed to throw a single touchdown in his last two starts, as the Giants have committed more effort to pounding the ball on the ground and taking it out of the hands of their sometimes turnover prone quarterback. But he did score a rushing touchdown in one of those games. Better still is that Jones hasn’t had a turnover in his last three games. His fantasy appeal is limited, even now that he’s fully healthy, and he’s not a recommended starting option unless you’re desperate.
