Two of the “Big Three’ Teams in Florida were the biggest losers in the college football polls this week, as the Florida Gators took a huge loss at home to the 23.5-point underdog LSU Tigers, and the Miami Hurricanes were routed in Hard Rock Stadium by the North Carolina Tar Heels.

The 37-34 loss by the Gators cost them five spots in both polls down to No. 11, and the Hurricanes 62-26 embarrassment by the Heels saw them fall 10 spots in the AP and 11 in the Coaches, both now placing them at No. 19.

North Carolina was rewarded for their win in Miami Gardens, as they were the biggest mover upwards this week adding four spots in the AP and five in the Coaches sample. Their three losses will keep them out of the New Year’s Six, but the trajectory is still heading up in Chapel Hill under Mack Brown and quarterback Sam Howell.

Here are the college football rankings for December 13th and heading into Week 16.
