Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver K.J. Hamler had one of his better performances this season on Sunday afternoon against the Carolina Panthers. The speedy wideout was the team’s leading receiver with two receptions for 86 yards and two touchdowns. It was Hamler’s first touchdown since Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Additionally, Sunday’s game was the first time that the former Penn State wide receiver crossed 80 receiving yards. Before Week 14, Hamler’s highest receiving yard total came in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons, where he had six receptions (10 targets) for 75 yards.
Coincidentally, that was also Hamler’s best fantasy football performance as he scored nine fantasy points. Fantasy football managers are hoping that Hamler can build off of Sunday’s performance and parlay it into a possible FLEX play with two weeks left in the fantasy playoffs. The 21-year-old receiver is currently rostered in three percent of Yahoo fantasy leagues.
