UPDATE December 14th 2:10 p.m.: Oregon will replace Washington in the Pac-12 Championship Game, as the Huskies are unable to play because of Covid-19.
It’s been a wild ride for both the winners of the Pac-12 North and South, and with a replacement team a conference champion will be determined Friday night when the Oregon Ducks face the USC Trojans in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Here are the opening odds for the updated Pac-12 Championship Game from DraftKings Sportsbook:
Opening odds
Point Spread: USC -3.5
Point Total: 61.5
Moneyline: Oregon TBA, USC TBA
How they got here
For No. 13 USC (5-0), it’s been one heart attack after another. Three of their five wins have come in the last 60 seconds of the game, including last Saturday night against rival UCLA. This is a team full of starpower with players like Kedon Slovis and Amon-Ra St. Brown on offense, but they certainly struggle coming out of the gate each week. But they also get three takeaways per game, one of the best rates in all of college football.
Bowl implications
The winner heads to the New Year’s Six, as anything like the College Football Playoff is held back by their lack of games played in 2020 and light strength of schedule numbers. The loser will get a postseason bid if they wish, possibly in the Alamo Bowl.
