The Las Vegas Raiders placed rookie wide receiver Henry Ruggs on the Covid-19 list, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. This designation will keep him out of the Thursday night game against the Chargers even if he is just a close contact versus testing positive for Covid himself.
His absence should boost Nelson Agholor, who just put up a 5/100/1 line against a tough Indianapolis Colts defense. While Hunter Renfrow should also get a boost, as he’s already been getting more work of late with 16 targets over the last three games.
Ruggs hasn’t lived up to his first round status this season, especially when you compare him to other rookie receivers like Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, Chase Claypool, Brandon Aiyuk and others, who have all played well this season. His speed will always be useful and he likely just needs time to break through the learning curve. If you can buy low on him in dynasty, do so.
