The Carolina Panthers announced on Wednesday that third-year wide receiver D.J. Moore was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Moore missed the Panthers’ Week 14 contest against the Denver Broncos after he tested positive for the virus earlier in that week.
With Moore back in the fold, it should help bolster the Panthers’ offense as they try to pull an upset on one of the hottest teams in the NFL. The last time we saw Moore on the field was in Week 12 against the Minnesota Vikings. In that contest, he had four receptions (nine targets) for 61 yards.
This season, the 23-year-old wideout has 50 receptions (89 targets) for 924 yards and four touchdowns. Moore should draw the attention of Packers’ top cornerback Jaire Alexander on Saturday night. If this is the case, fellow wide receivers Robby Anderson and Curtis Samuel should have favorable matchups in the slot and on the perimeter.
