What to do with Austin Ekeler in Week 15 fantasy football

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Austin Ekelers ahead of the Chargers Week 15 matchup against the Raiders on Thursday Night Football.

The question posed in the article title is a simple one as long as Ekeler is healthy enough to suit up Thursday night against the Raiders. If so, he should post fantastic numbers against the Raiders.

Fantasy Football analysis: Chargers RB Austin Ekeler

Ekeler’s usage since his Week 12 has been a fantasy owners’ dream, especially those in PPR formats. 61 touches, 24 receptions and 343 scrimmage yards in three games. And the Raiders are up next? Oh, baby. The Jets and the Colts each shredded Las Vegas’ run defense for more than 200 yards over the past two weeks. The only question mark surrounding Ekeler’s Week 15 outlook is his current quad injury. It kept him out of practice on Monday, but he was able to get in limited sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, so he appears to be on the right side of questionable right now.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

If Ekeler is out, Kalen Ballage ($4,000) should be the preferred fantasy option in this backfield, ahead of Justin Jackson ($4,000). Ballage played more than twice as many snaps and handled more than twice as many carries as Jackson while backing up the starter. But assuming Ekeler ($7,500) is all systems go, he should be one of Week 15’s top fantasy scorers.
