What to do with Keenan Allen, Mike Williams in Week 15 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Keenan Allen, Mike Williams ahead of the Chargers Week 15 matchup against the Raiders on Thursday Night Football.

Keenan Allen and Mike Williams both entered the Chargers’ short preparation week absent from practice due to injuries. But each man practiced on a limited basis on Tuesday and Wednesday, can you trust them against the Las Vegas Raiders?

Fantasy Football analysis: Chargers WRs Keenan Allen, Mike Williams

Allen missed a few more snaps than usual last week because of a hamstring injury, but he was able to return to action before the end of the Chargers’ victory, and he still produced a very usual 9-52-1 line. He has scored in all but one game since Week 7 and he averaged 7.9 receptions per game in that seven-game span. Opposing No. 1 wideouts have sort of had their way against the Raiders over the past three games. Tyreek Hill, Calvin Ridley and T.Y. Hilton each tallied at least 17 DraftKings points against this defense recently.

Williams is much less of a sure thing even though, like Allen, he missed a day of practice before returning to limited action on Tuesday and Wednesday. Both men are listed as questionable. But whereas Allen was able to play through his Week 14, Williams’ back injury limited him to just two snaps. If Williams can’t play, Tyron Johnson would be worth deep-league consideration. He benefited from Williams’ absence last week, catching six passes for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Johnson costs $3,300 on DraftKings. Allen ($7,800) is a no-brainer play against this defense as long as he’s up. Williams ($4,800) is much tougher to depend on, especially because of his lack of activity in Week 14.
