The Saints will be without Michael Thomas for the rest of the season

Saturday update: Besides missing Week 15, Thomas will also miss the rest of the regular season as he goes on I.R. with an ankle injury, per Adam Schefter. The good news is that Thomas should be ready to go for the playoffs.

Friday update: The Saints have ruled Michael Thomas OUT for Week 15 against the Chiefs.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas was a non-participant in practice for the second straight day, per ESPN’s Field Yates. Thomas is dealing with an ankle injury and has been rested often this season, so the two missing practices aren’t a for sure sign that he won’t play, but it is a downgrade from his usual schedule of late.

As long as Thomas gets a limited practice in on Friday, he will likely play against the Chiefs on Sunday. This has been a down season for Thomas due to injuries and Drew Brees being out, but he has remained a fantasy start with Taysom Hill under center, averaging 7.5 receptions on 9.3 targets for 85.8 yards in the three games with Hill starting. The trouble so far has been a lack of touchdowns, but he’s holding his own in PPR.

There is a chance that Drew Brees returns, which would be a nice bump for Thomas, but either way, if Thomas can play, you should start him.
