Tale of the Tape for Michel Pereira vs. Khaos Williams

In the other co-main event for UFC Fight Night 183 at welterweight, Michael Pereira will fight Khaos Williams Saturday in Las Vegas and available on ESPN+.

The 27-year-old Pereira walks into the octagon with a professional fighting record of 24-11 (2 NC). Pereira’s last fight happened in September at UFC Fight Night 176, where he defeated Zelim Imadaev in Round 3 using a rear-naked choke.

This is “Demolidor” Pereira’s third fight in 2020 and fifth in his short UFC career. Before making the jump to UFC in 2019, he fought at Road Fighting Championship, Serbian Battle Championship, Heat, Arena Fight 8, Kunlun Fight, Shooto Brazil, and etc.

Pereira is a tremendous striker, who can get down on the mat inside the cage. He lands 4.02 strikes per minute with 54 percent striking accuracy. But Pereira doesn’t absorb a lot of strikes at 2.56 per minute, while his defense is at 59 percent. As for grappling, he has a takedown average per 15 minutes of 1.68 and 62 percent takedown accuracy.

Williams comes to the APEX with a professional fighting record of 11-1. The 26-year-old from Lansing, MI, last fought at UFC Fight Night 182 in November. At that event, Williams delivered a devastating first round knockout to Abdul Razak Alhassan.

In his UFC debut at UFC 247 in February. Williams defeated Alex Morono in Round 1 by knockout. “Khaos the Ox Fighter” already six wins decided by KO/TKO in his short pro career. He averages 15.79 strikes per minute with 55 percent accuracy. Williams also absorbs 3.16 strikes per minute, while his defense is at 50 percent.
