This week the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers should produce a great day for their fantasy owners as they take on one of the worst defenses in the NFL against the pass.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bucs WRs Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown
The Atlanta Falcons are the third-worst defense in the league against the pass, giving up an average of over 280 yards per game through the air.
Still, Mike Evans hasn’t had a very memorable season by his standards. He’s eclipsed the 100 yard mark just twice this year and the last time he did it was week four. He has gotten back on track in the scoring department though, getting four touchdowns in the last four weeks. Given his size, he’ll always be a red zone threat, and the Bucs will probably give him many targets inside the 20s. They’ll probably get there a good amount too, given how much ATL’s defense has struggled in 2020.
Chris Godwin only has three touchdowns on the year and hasn’t gone for more than 100 yards at all. But he catches virtually everything thrown his way, so he’s solid for PPR leagues. Plus in his previous five games against the Falcons, he averages a touchdown each game.
Antonio Brown has done very little this season, but this could be the week he pops off given the opponent. The Atlanta secondary is giving up over 40 fantasy points per week to opposing wide receivers, so this should be an easy play for anybody who has these guys on their roster.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Evans and Godwin, sit Brown unless your lineup is otherwise stacked.
