What to do with David Montgomery in Week 15 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of David Montgomery ahead of the Bears Week 15 matchup against the Vikings.

Game day update: Cordarrelle Patterson has seen a slight uptick in rushing work the past couple weeks, with six carries last week and ten the week before. David Montgomery remains the go-to guy, but Patterson is eating into his workload a little bit. This week, ESPN projects Montgomery with 15.0 fantasy points in PPR leagues and Patterson with 7.3 fantasy points.

The Chicago Bears are full of surprises lately, and that includes the recent performance of running back David Montgomery who is absolutely on fire. He has a great chance to keep it going this week against the Minnesota Vikings. Get him into your fantasy football lineup.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bears RB David Montgomery

Montgomery rushed for a season-high 113 yards last week, and he did it on 11 carries. He also found the end zone against the Texans. The week before that, against the Lions, he had 72 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He’s also got a role in the passing game, averaging three catches and about 40 yards over his last three games.

The Vikings are giving up 4.4 yards per carry to opposing running backs this season. Three running backs have had at least 78 yards against them in their last four games, and they’ve allowed three rushing touchdowns in that same span to the position.
