Game day update: Jonathan Taylor has emerged as the clear standard league option, but Nyheim Hines remains a viable alternative in PPR leagues. ESPN’s PPR league point projections for Week 15 have Taylor scoring 16.4 points and Hines scoring 12.7.

It’s hard to believe that there was a point this season where it looked like Jonathan Taylor may have played his way out of the lead back role for the Indianapolis Colts. Over the last month, he’s been one of the most dynamic running backs in the league, and a boon for fantasy football lineups. And even with Taylor rolling, Nyheim Hines is still getting enough touches to be part of the conversation in fantasy lineups. So what does this week hold for both players in a game against the Houston Texans?

Fantasy Football analysis: Colts RBs Jonathan Taylor, Nyheim Hines

Taylor went wild for 150 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries last week. That was the third game in a row where he’s had at least 90 rushing yards. He also has three touchdowns during that span, thanks to a receiving score against the Texans in Week 13. Hines had 58 rushing yards last week on seven carries, adding another 17 yards on four catches.

Taylor is an obvious must-start RB1 this week, especially since Houston is allowing more than 5.3 yards per carry to running backs this season. Hines has some value as a Flex player, thanks to his role as a passing option.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Jonathan Taylor at RB1. Start Nyheim Hines as a Flex.
