Saturday update: Gordon and Lindsay are officially active for today’s game.

Saturday update: Both Gordon and Lindsay are expected to play, per NFL Network’s Jesse Palmer.

Both of the Denver Broncos running backs, Melvin Gordon and Phillip Lindsay, are listed as questionable on this week’s injury report. Gordon is dealing with a shoulder injury, while it’s a hip for Lindsay. The latter was able to practice this week, designated as limited, and Gordon, who would have missed Tuesday’s session, was limited on Wednesday and Thursday. However, both are expected to play in a Saturday afternoon matinee against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy impact: Melvin Gordon (shoulder), Phillip Lindsay (hip)

It’s good news for the Broncos, whose offensive struggles would be almost unimaginable without their top two running backs. As far as their fantasy football outlook this week, that picture is a little less rosy.

Gordon has an edge in touches over Lindsay, sort of a 1a to a 1b. Last week against the Panthers, Gordon had 68 yards on five carries, and Lindsay had 24 yards on 11 carries. Neither player has found the end zone much lately. Lindsay’s only touchdown of the season came back in Week 8. Gordon scored twice in Week 11, but that’s the only time he’s crossed the goal line in his last seven. The Bills run defense hasn’t allowed an opposing running back to crack 50 rushing yards in their last three games.
