What to do with Mark Ingram, JK Dobbins, Gus Edwards in Week 12 fantasy football

Mark Ingram and JK Dobbins are expected to clear the Covid-19 protocol in time for Wednesday’s Ravens-Steelers game. We break down what it means for fantasy football and Gus Edwards.

Game day update: The Ravens did not appear to be preparing to have either Ingram or Dobbins play as of Tuesday, according to Jeff Zrebiec. The team has until 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday to activate one or both players from the Covid-19 injured reserve list. Michele Tafoya later added that neither is expected to play on Wednesday.

The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers are apparently finally going to play their Week 12 contest. The game was moved from Thanksgiving to Sunday to Tuesday and now finally to Wednesday.

Each move gives both teams time to get all the more rested and recovered, but the final move is a big one for the Ravens. Mark Ingram and JK Dobbins have been on the Covid-19 injured reserve list since early last week, and they are eligible to come off the list on Wednesday. Had the game been played on Tuesday they would have missed it, but the move to Wednesday will let them return.

It is not entirely clear yet if the Ravens will play them given their time in isolation, but it provides the team with two more significant options at running back.

Fantasy Football analysis: Ravens RBs Mark Ingram, JK Dobbins, Gus Edwards

Edwards was on track to get the start and a chance at a week of fantasy glory. It’s still possible he gets a good chunk of work, but if you had to make a prediction on how Wednesday goes, it would not be great for Edwards.

Ingram has been one of the biggest fantasy disappointments this season, and it seems like he’s finally losing his starting job. He was out Week 8 and Week 9 due to injury and Dobbins grabbed double digit carries. Week 10 was a light workload across the board due to the team’s struggles, and then Dobbinson had 15 carries to Ingram’s 2 against the Titans.

Whether it’s Ingram’s ankle being an issue or he’s just being supplanted, Dobbins is the play right now if there is a choice. Dobbins has significantly more upside for DFS Showdown games, and if you somehow have a roster option in season-long, Dobbins is the play.
