Maurkice Pouncey played on Covid-19 IR, but Ravens-Steelers still happening

Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey is headed to Covid-19 IR, but Ravens-Steelers is still happening on Wednesday.

The NFL announced that the Ravens-Steelers Week 12 Wednesday matchup is a go. We’ve seen 25+ players move back and forth on the Covid-19 injured reserve list, but the league is set on playing this game. Kickoff is set for 3:40 p.m. ET on NBC.

This comes even as word came out Wednesday at lunch time that the Steelers are placing center Maurkice Pouncey on their Covid-19 injured reserve list. It is not yet clear if this is because of a positive test or Pouncey being a high-risk, close contact, but either way he is out for Wednesday’s game.

The Steelers will also be without RB James Conner, DE Stephon Tuitt, and OT Jerald Hawkins. The Ravens will be without a sizable list of players due to Covid-19, including QB Lamar Jackson, TE Mark Andrews, C Matt Skura, DE Calais Campbell, LB Matt Judon, and several more. RBs Mark Ingram and JK Dobbins are eligible to come off the Covid-19 IR list, but are not expected to play on Wednesday.
