Week 14 was not one to remember for the Vikings passing game, specifically for the stud wide receivers. The Buccaneers controlled the game and forced the Vikings to run the ball, eventually winning 26-14. Minnesota’s receiving corps will face another top-ranked defense in the Chicago Bears, but can Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson still pull through for your fantasy team in a playoff week?
Fantasy Football analysis: Vikings WRs Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson
Both Thielen (6.9 DKFP) and Jefferson (9.9 DKFP) are coming off some of their worst fantasy outings of the season. Kirk Cousins’ lone touchdown throw went to tight end Irv Smith Jr., even with Jefferson leading the team with eight targets. Fortunately, things should trend in the right direction for the WRs this week. In Minnesota’s Week 10 meeting with Chicago, Jefferson racked up eight catches for 135 yards (24.5 DKFP) and Thielen turned two of his four grabs into touchdowns (20.3 DKFP), regardless of the low-scoring 19-13 affair. In a game that could decide either team’s season, the most-trusted offensive options will be utilized. On the Vikings sideline, that means Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson (and obviously Dalvin Cook).
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Thielen and Jefferson as low-end WR1s.
