The quarterback situation for the Detroit Lions is a little murky heading into their Week 15 game against the Tennessee Titans. Matthew Stafford is dealing with a rib injury he suffered in last week’s game that’s left him sidelined in practice all week. Despite some pessimism earlier in the week, the team said that he was feeling better and will travel to Nashville for Sunday’s game. It may come down to a game-time decision between Stafford and backup Chase Daniel. Here’s how to approach the situation in fantasy football this week.
Fantasy Football analysis: Lions QB Chase Daniel
Honestly, it’s best just to avoid either player. The Lions will not have their No. 1 wide receiver, Kenny Golladay, again this week, which is going to make it difficult for whoever winds up under center.
Stafford has managed to throw multiple touchdown passes in just three of his last nine games. And while the Titans don’t have as tough of a pass defense as the Packers, who the Lions lost to last week, there’s just not much of a ceiling for Stafford. If it’s Daniel, that’s a further step down from Stafford.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Matthew Stafford or Chase Daniel — whoever starts.
