The San Francisco 49ers running backs have been dealing with injuries throughout most of this season. Two of those running backs who were hit with the injury bug but returned recently was Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson. Can either running back be of any use in the next round of the fantasy football playoffs? We’ll break it down below.
Fantasy Football analysis: 49ers RBs Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson
Last week against the Washington Football Team, Niners running back Raheem Mostert had 65 rushing on 14 carries, while dealing with an ankle injury. It was an improvement from his Week 13 performance against the Buffalo Bills, but Mostert was still held scoreless for the second-straight game.
Since returning from injury in Week 12, Mostert is only averaging 6.53 fantasy points, which is a far cry from his outings earlier this season. Wilson did not play well last week, but did have 33 rushing yards on 11 carries and a touchdown. It was his first rushing touchdown in two games and he scored 8.4 fantasy points.
This week, the Niners will be facing a Cowboys’ defense that is the worst stopping the run at 167.2 yards per game. Dallas is also allowing 13 touchdowns and 21 fantasy points per game this season.
