Jonnu Smith doesn’t have nearly as many receptions or receiving yards as most of the top fantasy tight ends in the NFL but has been able to remain relevant by scoring touchdowns. Only two tight ends have caught more than Smith this season but he has a chance to catch the leaders in the Tennesee Titans’ Week 15 matchup against the Detroit Lions.
Fantasy Football analysis: Titans TE Jonnu Smith
Smith has scored on nearly 14 percent of his targets and has just 32 receptions on the year. His target share was among the league leaders at his position through the first four weeks of the season but has dropped significantly as of late. He’s tallied less than three targets four times in his last seven games and hasn’t reached 40 receiving yards in a contest since October. Detroit has one of the worst pass defenses in the league this year and has forked up 26 touchdowns through the air, so there’s a good chance Smith will get a look or two in the red zone.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Smith should be good to start in this ideal matchup but I’d opt for a player who consistently gets more targets in season-long fantasy.
