It’s been a rough stretch for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson’s fantasy football numbers lately. Last week against the Bears he completed 21 of 30 passes for just 219 yards and a touchdown. He had another 38 yards on the ground. That game followed another single-touchdown performance. Can he bounce back this week and deliver fantasy points against the Colts?
Fantasy Football analysis: Texans QB Deshaun Watson
Watson’s last two games also happen to be the first two since wide receiver Will Fuller was suspended. Making matters worse, he didn’t even have Brandin Cooks last week, but Cooks will at least be back in the lineup for this one.
The Texans played the Colts back in Week 13, the first game of Watson’s current scoring downturn.
This is shaping up to be another difficult week for Watson. The Colts defense has limited opposing quarterbacks to an average of less than 20 points, a number Watson hasn’t cracked in his last two. It doesn’t help that the Texans offense line isn’t very good right now either. The one silver lining here is that the Colts have given up a rushing touchdown to opposing quarterbacks in each of their last three games, including Watson.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
This isn’t the best week to start Deshaun Watson, if you have better options available to you.
