Tua Tagovailoa is 4-2 as a starter for the Dolphins and heads into his first career matchup against Bill Belichick and the Patriots. After scoring a season-high in fantasy points last week, is he a reliable play in Week 15?

Fantasy Football analysis: Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa

Tagovailoa was a solid fantasy play last week in Miami’s close loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Not only did he reach 300 yards passing in a game for the first time in his career, he also rushed for his first career touchdown as well. This week’s matchup against a solid Patriots pass defense might cool him off, though.

Even with those passing touchdowns and the rushing touchdown, Tagovailoa threw his first interception as well. He now faces a Patriots defense that has at least one interception in eight of its last nine games. It also looks like Tagovailoa might be on track to be without top tight end Mike Gesicki, who was limited in practice due to a shoulder injury, per Thursday’s injury report.

Tagovailoa has been held to under 17 fantasy points in four of his six starts, and going against Belichick, regardless of the Patriots’ record, hasn’t been easy for recent AFC East rookies.
