Game status: Both tight ends are ACTIVE in Week 15.
Cleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper is listed as questionable to play ahead of this week’s game against the New York Giants; he’s dealing with a neck injury. He’s not the only tight end on the roster with that designation either. David Njoku is dealing with a knee injury. However, Cleveland’s head coach, Kevin Stefanski, did say that he expects both Hooper and Njoku to be active for Sunday’s game.
Fantasy impact: Austin Hooper (neck), David Njoku (knee)
While that may be good news for the Browns, they don’t offer much help for fantasy football lineups this week. Njoku had just 45 yards on three catches last week, with Hooper out of action. That was his best game since Week 1. Hooper, who sits ahead of Njoku on the depth chart, hasn’t had more than 40 yards since Week 6. Neither player is much of a scoring threat either, with just four touchdowns between the two. When they’re both on the field, Njoku has no fantasy value, and Hooper’s is minimal at best.
