How to handle Evan Engram injury in Week 15 fantasy football

Evan Engram is on the Giants final injury report for Week 15. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions.

Game status: Engram is ACTIVE in Week 15.

Game day update: Evan Engram is expected to play on Sunday vs. the Browns, per Ian Rapoport.

The New York Giants added tight end Evan Engram to the injury report this week. He is officially questionable with a calf injury. What’s especially concerning about this one is that he was a late-week addition, after practicing in full on Wednesday and Thursday. He had a limited designation for Friday’s session.

Fantasy impact: Evan Engram (calf)

He hasn’t been ruled out, but a decision on his status might come down to the wire ahead of Sunday night’s game against the Cleveland Browns.

Engram is the team’s second leading receiver with 50 catches and 526 yards. Last week, he was held to just two catches and 18 yards against the Cardinals. The next man up is Kaden Smith; however, he is also listed as questionable for this week’s game. If neither one of those players can go, Levin Toilolo would get the start. Engram is a decent TE2 option if he can play, but the situation is further complicated by the fact that New York’s quarterback situation is in flux with Daniel Jones hurt. Colt McCoy could get the start, dragging down their fantasy value.
