How to handle James White, Damien Harris injuries in Week 15 fantasy football

James White and Damien Harris are on the Patriots final injury report for Week 15. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions.

Game status: James White is ACTIVE for Week 15.

Game day update: James White is expected to play on Sunday, per Tom Pelissero.

The New England Patriots downgraded running back Damien Harris to out on Saturday afternoon ahead of their Sunday game against the Dolphins. He was initially listed as questionable on the official injury report, but a nagging ankle injury will leave him on the bench. James White is listed as questionable with a foot injury for White. Both running backs did practice this week as limited participants, but Harris was pretty clearly trending in the wrong direction.

Fantasy impact: Damien Harris (ankle), James White (foot)

Harris has taken the lead role out of the Patriots’ backfield, and he usually has the most fantasy value among the crowded position group. Last week he had 50 yards on 11 carries against the Rams. He had 80 yards the week before that. Sony Michel is usually second to Harris for reps; he had seven carries last week for 22 yards. Michel will have more fantasy value this week without Harris. White could see an uptick in touches too, but that’s probably not enough to make him more than a fringe fantasy option.
