Game status: Mike Gesicki is INACTIVE for Week 15.

Game day update: Gesicki will not play today, per Ian Rapoport. Adam Shaheen will get the lead tight end role, but doesn’t have a lot fo fantasy appeal.

Game day update: Mike Gesicki needs to go through pre-game warmups, but he has a “real chance” of playing on Sunday, per Ian Rapoport.

It remains to be seen whether or not the Miami Dolphins will have tight end MIke Gesicki on the field this week against the New England Patriots. He dislocated his shoulder last week against the Chiefs. He missed practice on Wednesday, and it looked like he would be out of action. However, he returned on a limited basis Thursday and Friday. The team said that he was catching passes at practice late this week, and is working to get back on the field.

Fantasy impact: Mike Gesicki (shoulder)

Gesicki has a big role to play in the Dolphins’ passing game. He caught six passes on five targets last week, scoring twice. The week before that he had 11 targets, catching nine of them. He’s got four touchdowns in his last three games. He’s a TE1, assuming he can play. If he can’t suit up this week, Adam Shaheen and Durham Smythe would replace him in the lineup. There’s no clear favorite among those two, as they’d likely split the workload between them.
