Game status: Jimmy Graham is ACTIVE for Week 15.
Game day update: Jimmy Graham is expected to play on Sunday, per Ian Rapoport.
Chicago Bears tight end Jimmy Graham was a late addition to this week’s injury report. After getting in a full practice on Wednesday, he was limited on Thursday and Friday, dealing with what’s been labeled as a hip injury. He is officially questionable for this week’s game, and we may have to wait right up until the wire to know for sure if he can play.
Fantasy impact: Jimmy Graham (hip)
The Bears’ tight end situation is in a state of flux right now anyway. Graham has been playing behind rookie Cole Kmet for the last two weeks. In Week 13, the veteran was targeted just once, compared to five catches on seven targets and a touchdown for Kmet. Graham caught four passes on four targets last week, including a touchdown grab, for 23 yards, but Kmet still had the edge with four catches on seven targets for 41 yards.
If Graham can’t play, Kmet’s value goes way up, and he’s a solid pick for a TE1 this week. Even with Graham in action, Kmet still has an edge in fantasy value, but Graham might be worth a look, albeit a risky one, for his touchdown potential. The Bears face the Vikings this week.
