Game status: Matthew Stafford is ACTIVE for Week 15. The team has three QBs active for the game, which suggests the team still has some concerns about Stafford.

Game day update: Matthew Stafford is expected to start today, per Ian Rapoport.

As of Saturday morning, Matthew Stafford’s playing status was up in the air for this Sunday’s 1 PM game against the Tennessee Titans. The Detroit Lions quarterback is still dealing with a rib injury that knocked him out of last week’s game against the Packers. He’s officially listed as questionable, but by early afternoon on Saturday it was reported that Stafford is preparing to start this week’s game.

Fantasy impact: Matthew Stafford (rib, right thumb)

The outlook for Stafford has done a full 180 over the course of the week. Early on, it seemed like he would be out of action for sure, but by the end of the week, interim head coach Darrell Bevell expressed some optimism that Stafford could play. He was feeling better, and he even got in some limited work at Friday’s practice, his first of the week.

Even if Stafford can play this week, his fantasy value is very limited. Not only is he playing through a painful injury, he’s also without his No. 1 receiver, Kenny Golladay.

If Stafford can’t play, Chase Daniel would fill in for him, but he’s not worth a spot in fantasy lineups.
