Le’Veon Bell is an early waiver wire option in Week 16 pending injury report

Le’Veon Bell stood out in Sunday’s contest as a potential early waiver wire option in Week 16.

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the New Orleans Saints, but had two late injury scares, as both Clyde Edwards Helaire and Le’Veon Bell went down with injuries. Edwards-Helaire looked as if he had suffered a major injury with how his leg and hip contorted, but x-rays were negative. That doesn’t mean he’ll be able to play next week against the Falcons, but his status is unknown at this time.

Bell also went down hard late, as he was pulled down by his face mask and hit his helmet on the ground. He appeared okay on the sideline, so we’ll go with him being the healthiest of the two backs going into next week.

Bell fits the Chiefs offense well and if he were to get the full workload against the Falcons, he will have fantasy appeal. Hopefully we will know a little more information to clear up the status of the Chiefs running backs, but for now, if Bell is out there on your waivers, he makes for a useful pickup.
