The Marshall Thundering Herd and Buffalo Bulls will face off in the 2020 Camellia Bowl. The game will take place at Crampton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama. Kickoff is currently scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET on Friday, December 25th, and the game will air on ESPN and will be available via live stream at WatchESPN.

After starting the regular season with seven-straight wins, the Marshall Thundering Herd lost their final two games, including the C-USA championship to the UAB Blazers. Just like in the regular season finale against Rice, Marshall quarterback Grant Wells struggled in the conference title game. Wells completed just 8-of-23 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns. Overall he has thrown for 1,977 yards, 18 touchdowns and nine touchdowns in 2020, but Marshall hopes that he and running back Brenden Knox can help them snap their losing streak and take down the Bulls.

As for Buffalo (5-1), they also lost in their conference title game as the Ball State Cardinals were 38-28 winners. BSU did a great job of keeping dynamic running back Jaret Patterson under wraps, as he only ran for 47 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown. It was the lowest rushing total of the season for Patterson, who has carried the ball for 1,072 yards and 19 touchdowns in just six games. Patterson is the key player to watch out for in this bowl game, and the NFL scouts will be on hand as well.
