The Arkansas Razorbacks and TCU Horned Frogs will face off in the 2020 Texas Bowl. The game will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. Kickoff is currently scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, December 31st, and the game will air on ESPN and be available via live stream at WatchESPN.
The Arkansas Razorbacks (3-7) are going to a bowl game despite finishing sixth out of seven in the SEC West while on a four-game losing streak. During the four-game losing skid, Arkansas has been outscored 192-110 by their opponents, and lost 52-3 to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Razorbacks quarterback Feleipe Franks is a player to watch in this bowl game. The former Florida Gator had solid year in Fayetteville with 2,107 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and only four interceptions.
The TCU Horned Frogs (6-4) are on a three-game losing streak themselves, with their last win happening on Dec. 12 against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. The Horned Frogs won 52-10, giving them their second win in three weeks where they scored 50-plus points. A player to watch for the Horned Frogs is quarterback Max Duggan, who is a do-it all weapon for their offense. Duggan passed for 1,795 yards, 10 touchdowns, and four interceptions, while running for 526 yards and 10 touchdowns.
These are two teams that really need a win, and have some of the skill talent needed to compete. Franks versus TCU head coach Gary Patterson should make for an interesting matchup.
