How they got here

Without being part of a conference, BYU was forced to scrap most of its schedule and did an incredible job being able to put 11 games on the slate. The Cougars overpowered many of their opponents to a 10-1 overall record and come in ranked No. 16. In its 10 wins, BYU won by an average of 31.7 points but fell short against Coastal Carolina.

UCF is unranked heading into this game but finished the season with a 6-3 overall record including 5-3 in AAC play for a tie for third place in the conference. The Knights dropped two games in a row in October but finished strong, winning four of their last five with the only loss coming by three points to No. 8 Cincinnati.
