This game is taking place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans - very fitting for a game called the New Orleans Bowl. You can check it out on ESPN or the WatchESPN app.

How they got here
Georgia Southern has the better record between the two teams at 7-5 overall including 4-4 in the Sun Belt, which was good for a tie for third place in the East division. The Eagles hit their stride in the middle of their season when they ripped of three wins in a row, but dropped three of their last four games heading into the bowl game.
Louisiana Tech wasn’t able to get as many games in as Georgia Southern but finished the regular season with a 5-4 overall record including 4-2 in Conference USA play for third place in the West division. The Bulldogs did not play a game between Halloween and Dec. 3, and finished the season with a 52-10 road loss to TCU.
