Hurts made his second straight start and put up a huge stat line against the Arizona Cardinals. Hurts didn’t have a great completion percentage (54.5), but he threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed for 63 yards and a score on 11 carries. He finished with 37.82 fantasy points, just edging out Josh Allen and Ryan Tannehill.
Hurts nearly brought the Eagles back to victory, but even though he came up short, it was an impressive performance all around. The fantasy numbers were obvious, and his legs are going to provide considerably value. He rushed for 108 yards last week against the Saints and then the 63 on Sunday. It’s going to get interesting as teams spy him more and try to keep him a little more honest, but he’s proving to be both an elusive and powerful runner.
The Cardinals have had a shaky defense this season, but Hurts returns with a bad Cowboys defense in Week 16. If you think you need a little boost at quarterback, Hurts could be worth a one-week addition to give you a little something extra.
