The Indiana Hoosiers and Ole Miss Rebels will face off in the 2021 Outback Bowl. The game will take place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Kickoff is currently scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 2.
The Outback Bowl will air on ABC and will be available via live stream at ABC.com, on the ABC app, or by streaming the channel through Hulu TV, YouTube TV or FuboTV.
The 11th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers (6-1) will be going bowling after a tremendous season in Bloomington. Their run started in Week 1 with an upset victory over the Penn State Nittany Lions and it continued to Dec. 5 against the Wisconsin Badgers, where they won 14-6. The player to watch for Indiana is wide receiver Ty Fryfogle, who has 34 receptions for 687 yards and seven touchdowns. In November, Fryfogle had back-to-back 200-yard receiving games against the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan State Spartans. Honestly, they should be a part of the New Year’s Six.
The Ole Miss Rebels (4-5) led by first-year head coach Lane Kiffin bring his high-flying offense to Tampa. This season the Rebels’ offense is averaging 562.4 total yards and 40.7 points per game. But on defense, the Rebels have given up a ton of points at 40.3 per game and 535.7 total yards. The player to watch is quarterback Matt Corral, who has completed 71.3 percent of his passes for 2,995 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. In the regular season finale against the LSU Tigers, he threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns, but five interceptions.
