Two of the best Group of 5 teams in all of college football will get together in what should be an exciting Cure Bowl. Neither the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers or the Liberty Flames received much respect from the College Football Playoff committee, but regardless this is going to be an entertaining game for both offenses. This game will take place on Saturday, Dec. 26 at noon ET from Orlando, Florida. It can be seen on ESPN and the WatchESPN app.

How they got here
Coastal Carolina was among the snubs of the New Year’s Six bowls as the Chanticleers finished the season with an 11-0 record, highlighted by a home win over BYU on Dec. 5. Unfortunately, the Sun Belt title game was canceled, so Coastal Carolina didn’t have a chance at another top-25 win over Louisiana. As for Liberty, it does not belong to a conference, but the Flames were able to string together a 10-game schedule to finish 9-1. Liberty beat a pair of ACC teams with Syracuse and Virginia Tech, and its lone loss came by one point to NC State. The Flames haven’t played in a game since Nov. 27, a 45-0 win over UMass.
