Friday injury report
Terry McLaurin is probably the most surprising receiver likely out this week, as he is doubtful with an ankle injury to take on the Panthers. We should see a lot of Logan Thomas.
Keenan Allen was able to get a limited practice in of Friday, so his chances of playing are good, but we can’t be sure he is 100 percent.
Tyreek Hill is questionable against the Falcons, but Coach Andy Reid believes he will play. That means you start him.
The Dolphins didn’t bring in any practice squad receivers, so DeVante Parker and Jakeem Grant look like they should be able to go against the Raiders.
Out: Kenny Golladay (hip), Deebo Samuel (hamstring), Julio Jones (hamstring), Marcus Johnson (quadricep), Collin Johnson (hamstring), Tyler Boyd (concussion), Golden Tate (calf)
Doubtful: Terry McLaurin (ankle),
Questionable: Larry Fitzgerald (groin), Jakeem Grant (hamstring), DeVante Parker (hamstring), Tyreek Hill (hamstring), Cordarrelle Patterson (knee), Allen Robinson (hamstring), Keenan Allen (hamstring), Marquise Brown (knee), Dez Bryant (thigh),
Thursday injury report
Deebo Samuel ruled out.
Allen Robinson was downgraded from a full practice participant to DNP on Thursday. He’s listed with a hamstring.
A.J. Brown was downgraded from limited to DNP with an ankle injury.
DNP: Tre’Quan Smith (ankle), Kenny Golladay (hip), Terry McLaurin, Allen Robinson (hamstring), Tyler Boyd (concussion), Julio Jones (hamstring), Marquise Brown (knee), Keenan Allen (hamstring), A.J. Brown (ankle), Golden Tate (calf)
Limited: DeVante Parker (hamstring), Jakeem Grant (hamstring), Tyreek Hill (hamstring), Larry Fitzgerald (groin), Allen Lazard (core, wrist), Michael Gallup (hip), Jalen Reagor (ankle), Denzel Mims (foot)
Full: Hunter Renfrow (concussion), Le’Veon Bell (knee), Curtis Samuel (hamstring), Jamison Crowder (calf, thigh), Stefon Diggs (foot), Jarvis Landry (hip)
Wednesday injury report:
Keenan Allen didn’t practice on Wednesday. He ended up playing through the injury last week and is probably just getting some rest to start this week, but keep an eye on his status. We’d like to see a full practice before starting him in the fantasy championships.
Julio Jones remains out of practice. He still has a chance to play this week against the Chiefs.
DeVante Parker get in a limited practice session. He appears close to returning, but a full practice on Thursday would be good to see before he faces the Raiders on Saturday.
Terry McLaurin didn’t practice due to an ankle injury, but he’s likely to continue playing through the injury as he has of late.
Tyreek Jill didn’t practice due to his hamstring, but it would be surprising if he doesn’t suit up against Atlanta this weekend.
DNP: Keenan Allen (hamstring), Tre’Quan Smith (ankle), Collin Johnson (hamstring), Julio Jones (hamstring), Tyler Boyd (concussion), Larry Fitzgerald (groin), Jakeem Grant (hamstring), DeVante Parker (hamstring), Terry McLaurin (ankle), Tyreek Hill (hamstring)
Limited: Keke Coutee (foot), Allen Lazard (core), Jamison Crowder (calf/thigh), Denzel Mims (foot), Jalen Reagor (ankle), A.J. Brown (ankle)
Full: Hunter Renfrow (concussion)
Week 15 was a good one for wide receivers, as nine topped 20 PPR points. The leader was Calvin Ridley, who has put up two big games with Julio Jones out the last two weeks. He could get a shot to keep that up in what should be a pass-happy game against the Chiefs this week.
DeAndre Hopkins has now put back-to-back big yardage days together after a bit of a slump for him. He came up big for your fantasy playoffs and now gets a scuffling 49ers defense at home in the fantasy championships.
And what about this Brandon Aiyuk fella? The rookie keeps putting up big numbers despite some bad quarterback play. He’s topped 19 fantasy points in his last five games and ranks 13th in average fantasy points for wide receivers ahead of Robert Woods, Tyler Lockett, Julio Jones Terry McLaurin, D.J. Moore, and well, you get the picture.
Injury news
Tyler Boyd will be in the concussion protocol for Week 16.
Michael Gallup suffered a hip pointer in Week 15. We’ll need to keep track of his practices to see if he’ll be available this week against the Eagles, but the signs appear to be positive.
Kenny Golladay still isn’t on I.R., but probably won’t suit up this week against the Buccaneers.
Julio Jones could be shut down with his hamstring injury, but they haven’t done it yet. He still has a chance to play this week.
Streaming options
Rashard Higgins, Browns
Higgins continues to play well as quarterback Baker Mayfield has taken a nice step forward of late. This week they get to face the poor Jets pass defense coming off a big win again the Rams. The Jets will likely have a post-win hangover this week, while the Browns are in contention for the AFC North crown.
T.Y. Hilton, Colts
Hilton is coming off his worst game in four weeks with four receptions for 71 yards. The Steelers defense has been wrecked by injuries and can be beaten through the air. Don’t shy away from Hilton despite what looks like a tough matchup on paper.
