How they got here
Cincinnati checks in with an undefeated record but has only dropped since becoming the highest ranked team in the College Football Playoff rankings era. The Bearcats are ranked eighth in the country and won each of their first seven games by at least two touchdowns before closing out the season with a pair of three-point wins against UCF and Tulsa. On the Georgia side, this has been a different team with quarterback J.T. Daniels entering the mix for the final three games, though it was too late already with a pair of losses to Florida and Alabama.
