How they got here
TCU beat Texas in its second game of the season, but it was the only game the Horned Frogs won in their first four games. They went on a tear down the stretch of the regular season, winning five of their last six to finish with a 6-4 record overall record and 5-4 in the Big 12 for fifth place in the conference.
As for the Razorbacks, the first year under Sam Pittman shouldn’t be considered anything other than a success. Finishing 3-7, this was a much better showing for the program than the previous few years. This could’ve been an even better year considering three of the team’s losses came by three points or less.
