How they got here

The Ball State offense led the Cardinals to a 6-1 record this season, finishing off with an upset victory over the Buffalo Bulls in the MAC title game. The Cardinals’ lone loss of the season came against the Miami (OH) RedHawks in the first game of the year.

As for San José State, there is no loss to speak off in an incredible surprise for the college football season in the Mountain West. The Spartans finished the season 7-0 and it was no fluke, as they beat the top four teams in the conference capped off by a 14-point win over the Boise State Broncos in the conference title game.
