Tuesday’s two-game slate kicked off the but the action is really gets started on Wednesday’s 13-game slate. The second day of the NBA’s 2020-21 season will be jam-packed with action and we’ve identified some quality DFS value plays on DraftKings worth keeping an eye on. Here are some of the top options under $5,000 at each position.

Point Guard

Jordan Clarkson, $4,200 vs. Trail Blazers

Clarkson was one of the bubble’s favorite chalk plays in the bubble after Bojan Bogdanovic was ruled out for the season and is kicking off the 2020-21 season grossly underpriced. Clarkson averaged 15.6 points per game last year after being traded to Utah by the Cleveland Cavaliers and his four-year, $51 million deal he signed over the offseason makes it clear that he’ll be an important part of his team’s offensive game plan off the pine.

Shooting Guard

Alec Burks, $4,800 vs. Pacers

Burks was the Golden State’s leading scorer last season before falling into the background as a Philadelphia 76er. Now he’s projected to start for the New York Knicks and Tom Thibodeau, who is known to give veteran started loads of minutes. Burks averaged 20.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per 36 minutes last season. He’s arguably the Knicks’ best backcourt scorer and should see a lot of the ball.

Small Forward

Jerami Grant, $4,700 vs. Timberwolves

The Detroit Pistons paid the big bucks to pilfer Grant from the Denver Nuggets. The swingman hasn't showcased a ton of fantasy potential as a pro but could be in for a career year on Detroit’s rebuilding squad. The Pistons have a questionable backup small forward in Josh Jackson, who didn’t get playing time with eh Memphis Grizzlies until the very end of 2019-20. His defensive versatility will give him a chance to lead Detroit in minutes and Juancho Hernangomez shouldn’t be a difficult matchup for him to win.

Power Forward

Lauri Markkanen, $4,800 vs. Hawks

Markkanen is one of three power forwards under $5,000 who averaged at least 27 DKFP per game last season. He’s an automatic scorer when healthy and it looks like 2020 lottery pick Patrick Williams is set to start at small forward. Markannen is usually a lock for at least 15 points and 7 rebounds for the Chicago Bulls. He could get a boost against a Hawks squad that was one of the worst defenses in the NBA last season.

Center

Hassan Whiteside, $3,800 vs. Nuggets

Whiteside averaged nearly 40 DKFP per game last season. While he’s signed with the Sacramento Kings for the league minimum his ability to rack up points in a short period of time with rebounds and blocks shouldn't be underestimated. The Denver Nuggets are favored by 8.5 points on DraftKing Sportsbook and no other team playing on Wednesday so garbage time minutes from Whiteside are a real possibility.
