The 6 teams who can be eliminated from playoff contention in Week 16

11 teams have been eliminated from the playoff picture, and six more can be eliminated in Week 16. We break down the scenarios.

The NFL is headed into the final three weeks of the 2020 regular season, and four teams have clinched playoff berths. The Chiefs and Packers have clinched their divisional titles and the Saints and Steelers have clinched a wild card berth. This weekend, four more teams can clinch a playoff berth.

We have already seen the Jets, Jaguars, Bengals, Chargers, Texans, and Falcons eliminated from playoff contention. This coming Sunday, we could see as many as seven more teams eliminated. Scenarios below come courtesy of NFLPlayoffScenarios.com. We are not including those with just a tie involved.

New York Giants

1. A loss and Washington win/tie, or
2. A loss and Eagles win, or
3. A tie and Washington win

The Giants are an 11-point road underdog to Baltimore. Washington is a 2.5-point home favorite against Carolina and the Eagles are a 2-point road favorite against Dallas.

Dallas Cowboys

1. A loss, or
2. Tie and Washington tie, or
3. Washington win

The Cowboys are a 2-point home underdog to Philadelphia and Washington is a 2.5-point home favorite against Carolina.

Philadelphia Eagles

A loss/tie or Washington win

The Eagles are a 2-point road favorite against Dallas and Washington is a 2.5-point home favorite against Carolina.

Chicago Bears

1. Loss and Cardinals win/tie, or
2. Tie and Cardinals win

The Bears are a 7-point road favorite against Jacksonville and the Cardinals are a 5-point home favorite against San Francisco.

Minnesota Vikings

Loss/tie or Cardinals win/tie

The Vikings are a 6.5-point road underdog against New Orleans and the Cardinals are a 5-point home favorite against San Francisco.

Las Vegas Raiders

Loss/tie or Ravens win/tie

The Raiders are a 3-point home underdog against Miami and the Ravens are an 11-point home favorite against the Giants.
